InspirationThe Francis and Fidelia Ibhawoh Foundation was established in 2014 in honour of the late Francis Ehidiamen Ibhawoh by his family and friends.
Mr Francis Ibhawoh was a committed educationist and public servant. Born in 1938 in Uromi, Nigeria, he worked as a primary and secondary school teacher before proceeding to the University of Ibadan from where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Economics and French in 1968. He joined the then Bendel State Civil Service as an administrative officer shortly after graduation and rose to the position of a Director. The Foundation and Annual Scholarship Awards are intended to honour his memory and his commitment to education, community development and youth empowerment. The Francis Ibhawoh Scholarship is awarded annually to the student with the best entry in the Francis Ibhawoh Annual Essay Competition for Undergraduates. The competition focuses on topical contemporary issues relating to local community and national development with a view to proffering solutions to these issues. |

Leadership
Gerard Ibhawoh - Chair

Gerard Ibhawoh is the seventh and last child of Late. Mr. Francis Ibhawoh. He holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Benin and an MBA from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Gerard has gained considerable experience in the financial services sector spanning Risk Management, Corporate Banking, Credit Administration and Control as well as Loan Workout and Collections. He is a member of several professional bodies including the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and the Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RIMAN). He has very strong interests in education, community development and youth empowerment. He presently chairs the Ibhawoh Foundation.
Dr. Victor Asibor
Dr. Victor Asibor, has vast experience in education, politics and administration. He holds B.A. (History), Master of Industrial And Labour Relations (MILR), M.A (History), Master of Peace and Conflict Resolution. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Environmental Society of Nigeria (ESN) and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, U.K.

Professor Henry O. Imhonde

Imhonde, O. Henry (Ph.D), is a clinical Psychologist/Senior Lecturer with Ambrose Alli University. He has over 48 papers published both in international and national journals with bias for drug reduction/cessation, marital functionality, gender issues, quality of life, psychological well-being amongst others. He has co-authored and edited several psychological text and journals
Professor Evelyn Uwa Edosomwan

Professor Evelyn Uwa Edosomwan is a Professor of Parasitology in the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. She is currently the Director, Centre for Gender Studies, and member, Governing Council of the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. Prof. Edosomwan has authored over 40 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented over 40 scientific papers at both national and international conferences, symposia and workshops. She belongs to several professional organizations, which include Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN), Society for Experimental Biology of Nigeria (NISEB) where she is currently the President. She is a member of Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD); and she was the President of the OWSD University of Benin chapter (2008-2014). She is an Ordained Minister in Church of God Mission International, Faith Arena and a life member of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI).
Professor Louis Ibhawoh

Professor Louis O. Ibhawoh has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and a Masters in Health Planning and Management (MHPM) from the University of Benin, Nigeria. He received his residency training at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, specializing in Restorative Dentistry (Endodontics) and additional training in dental implantology in Canada and in the United States of America. He holds the fellowships of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and is an Associate member of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He is currently a an associate Professor of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, University of Benin, Nigeria and also a consultant endodontist in the department of Restorative Dentistry, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, where he has been in clinical dental practice for over twenty-six years
